My Mum's better than your Mum. Fact.

And I thought triathlon gave us manly figures.....Watching the female shotputters at the European Athletics Champs and all I'm saying is, those are some women (ahem...)  you would not want to get in a fight with! My new hero is the 10k silver medallist Chris Thompson. It was so inspirational to hear about an athlete who has had a turbulent career, fell in and out of love with the sport, been riddled with injury but in the end perserverance paid off and there he was winning silver. After my horrific last couple of years and having myself fallen in and out of love with the sport more times than I can keep count of, it's comforting to hear that other athletes go through exactly the same thing. And come out on the other side better for it.

You know who my other hero is?? My Mum. Why? Because last weekend she completed Ironman Switzerland in the rather swift time of 11hrs48, placing 10th her in her category. Not only that but she had the fastest run time out of everyone in her category! Fairly impressive I think you'll agree. Unfortunately I couldn't be there to watch however my Dad and wee sis Holly kept me updated all through the day. One of them a little less seriously than the other. Some real extracts from texts my sister sent. "I think one guy also needs to pee as he is holding onto his crotch as he runs- or he could just be from the hood". "Speedo man's speedo is now a thong.....". "A naked man just dropped something and bent over in transition, aaah I didn't need to see that". "I just found a fly in my shoe." Apparently this girl got 5 A's in her prelims. No I'm not quite sure how either....

Anything I'm going to say is going to be a huge disappointment now after that display of legendary banter form my sister!

I'll be short and sweet describing how things have gone so far down in England...No gonna lie it's cause I'm exhausted after a long day and need my bed. Bed gets priority over everything. Including you guys ; )

All I can say is I am glad I made the move. The change of scenary, coach, environment has done wonders igniting my passion for the sport again. I am re-learning the meaning of hard work and collapsing exhausted into bed most nights but it is so worth it. I actually want to go out training now. I'm enjoying it. I am finally seeing some improvements. And that's it really....All smiles just now : )

SSSSSSLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPP......

xXx

The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
