If only you could smell this...

I'd be surprised if you lot in the UK weren't able to smell me right now. I have just arrived back from a very sweaty hard bike this afternoon, ate a lot of sushi and now found out the hotel has switched off the water. Mmmmmmm....

A far more serious blog for you's today compared with yesterday I'm afraid, it's all been quite sane over here now and my brain is back to functioning properly!

Prep has all being going according to plan and I am (ooh wait a second the water just came back on as I type! I'm away for a shower.....)

As I was saying, my days have mainly consisted of killing the hours between training sessions, I forgot just how boring it could be! Thankfully though more athletes are beginning to arrive and Helen Jenkins, Liz Blatchford and myself are going to the mall this afternoon. Training here has been fairly simple so far with big thanks to the YMCA health centre for being very accommodating and allowing me to use the facilities free for the week I am here. Gotta say I was quite disappointed to turn up though and not have dancing policemen and cowboys lining the corridors. On second thoughts actually I take that back......No the YMCA is the Young Mens Christian Association so thanks to those guys again.

Cycling is boring though. Like really boring. I am actually getting excited when I see a bend in the road it's that dire! Highlights of yesterdays cycle: Chris and I being violently threatened by a very scary man driving by us. I reckoned I could take him on but unsurprisingly Chris was having none of it. An unnatural number of half naked, leathery old men walking about (probably not a highlight really) and me thrashing Chris 3-0 in our game of sprints.

I also ran at and had a wee reccie of the race course yesterday and WOW! Things are already shaping up nicely by the looks of it and the grandstand where we are racing looks more suitable for a gig than a triathlon. It is amazing! It's just so huge and unlike anything else I've ever done. Its even getting advertised on the TV and radio. Rather impressive.

My TV viewing yesterday was far more acceptable you will be glad to hear, NBA game between the LA Lakers and Celtics. I think. Do the Celtics exist or am I making that name up?? As you can tell I really got into it...

And finally I would like to announce to world that I, Kirsty McWilliam, the worlds palest person, have a tan line on my quads. FACT.

To the mall : )

xXx

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
