Goodies!

It's official. I heart Abercrombie and Fitch. Lots. One dress and one skirt, $120. Ooops. Nevertheless I'm heading back tomorrow (Friday) for round two! Just finished a Skype with my Mum and she asked for some Abercrombie and Finch stuff. Aaaaw : )

Another little treat for me yesterday was the delivery of a goodie bag from the race organisers to my hotel room yesterday. I could get used to this! Some of the items inside included: a photo album, sunglasses, various random bits of munch, 2 anti-persperants (must have got a whiff of me yesterday), more toiletries, water bottles and so much more! Thank you very much HyVee. Not sure if my luggage allowance will let me take it all back, no gonna lie Abercrombie and Fitch clothes are getting priority but I will do my best!

Visited race sight again last night, this time to swim at the venue and it has moved on so much since two days ago. The tents are all up (comparible size wise to the ones you get in TITP), age group transition is up, swim course buouys out, pontoon almost finished, grandstand and TV screens up. Was talking to one of the race organisers, Bill, and apparently they started preparations 3 weeks ago! Not only are they doing this but they have an age group triathlon going through the centre of Washington DC next week involving some 2,500 participants next weekend to organise! From how it looks so far they are doing a phenomenal job.

The water last night was gorgeous, 23 degrees!! Just a little bit warmer than Loch Lomond has been then...What was also pretty amazing was the number of age-groupers in the water too. Well over a hundred I reckon when we were in. Had to be careful I didn't take out too many of the slower lot with my dodgy stroke as I was weaving among them. Slight moment of panic when I decided it would be funny to try take my coach out. After I pounced on him he drowned slightly more than I had expected was convinced I had just attacked some random old man but luckily it was Chris....Could have been awkward.

Apart from that not much else happening here. Not thinking a great deal about the race yet. Sure by tomorrow I will be though, the time has just flown and I can't believe how close we are getting to race day now! TV viewing last night: Harlem Globetrotters. Finally something good! Yes Mum if you are reading this I know I have an exam at the end of this month and yes I know I should be studying for it but to be honest I can't be bothered. Haha how lazy do I sound....I'll cram when I'm home : )

New addition to Team Scotland arrived last evening too, Mr David MacNamee. The world's biggest gossip EVER. Honestly the drive to swimming this morning was something special! He puts most of us girls to shame ; )

Waiting right now for a massive storm to blow over. Pretty sure if I went out I'd be drowned/hit by lightening/ or blown away....Theres actually quite an interesting law here that states you are not allowed to go indoor swimming or have a bath if there is lightening outside incase you get struck! Back to being insanely bored then. Think I might do a cheeky wee conditioning session to kill time. I must be bored.

Miss you all. Ish.

xXx

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
